RCIA

Are you a spouse of a Catholic, raising your children as Catholics and would like to know more about why they do what they do? Have you "missed" some of the sacraments yourself and feel incomplete as a Catholic? If so, this may be of interest to you. Adults who were not baptized as infants or who are baptized but have missed Confirmation or First Eucharist, become members of the Catholic Church through a process called the Rite of Christian Initiation.  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a journey of weekly sessions, where you will prepare to receive the sacraments, learn what it means to be Catholic and take your place as a fully participating member of the Catholic Church. The preparation leads the community to the Easter Vigil when the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist are received. If you are interested in exploring the possibility of becoming a Catholic or becoming a more informed, renewed Catholic, please call the Parish Office at 373-3453.

Inquiry Sessions will begin in the new year at St. Augustine Parish

Do you ever ask yourself

…what am I looking for in life?

…how can I be a better person?

…how can I come to know God’s love?

…how can I know the right path God has in store for me?

If you’ve ever been curious about

…the difference between Catholic and Protestant Bibles?

…why mass seems so important to Catholics?

…how Catholics relate to Mary and the saints?

If you are searching for

…a deeper relationship with God

…a sense of belonging in a faith community

…a greater fulfillment of your mission in life

For centuries, people have turned to the Church to find the answers to the deepest and hardest questions of everyday life.

If you are searching, pondering or asking these questions…  you may be interested in inquiring more about the Catholic faith.  We invite you to learn what the Church teaches, and be introduced to some of our parish members.  These sessions also are opportunities for you, and others who you may wish to invite, to ask questions you may have about the church.  These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are baptized Christians from Protestant or Evangelical backgrounds.

Please call the Parish Office if you’d like more information.
